In Côte d'Ivoire, in the production of crushed materials, seventy-five (75) operating permits for industrial quarry substances of crushed materials are valid as of the end of December 2023, including sixty-six (66) for granite, four (4) for pozzolana, two (2) for ornamental stones, and three (3) for gravel.
Regarding industrial operations of loose materials, fifty (50) permits are valid as of the end of December 2023, including forty-eight (48) for lagoon sand and two (2) permits for clay and laterite.
- Granite Production
The production of granite has shown a steady increase from 2015 to 2023, rising from 3,291,326.94 to 14,985,500.8 tons, representing an average annual increase of 20.9% over the period.

- Lagoon Sand Production
The recovery of lagoon sand production, which began in 2019 after the decline in 2018, has consolidated over the years. Thus, production increased from 368,179 m3 to 2,473,750 m3 in 2023, representing an average annual increase of 46.4% over the period.
