Trend of FDI in Côte d'Ivoire

Côte d'Ivoire recorded a sustained average growth of incoming FDI flows of 26% between 2015 and 2021. Thus, the incoming FDI flow more than doubled during this period, reaching 772.1 billion FCFA in 2021. With nearly 30% of the total FDI stock of UEMOA, the country is the leading one in the West African franc zone and the 3rd in ECOWAS after Nigeria and Ghana.

Furthermore, Côte d'Ivoire recorded incoming FDI flows of 1,752.56 million US dollars (1,051.536 billion FCFA) in 2023 and outgoing FDI flows of 214.91 million US dollars (128.946 billion FCFA) (source: UNCTAD).
