The Bagoué Region is located in the north of Côte d'Ivoire and is subdivided into three (03) Departments: Boundiali (Capital), Tengréla, and Kouto. It covers an area of 10,668 km2, which is 3.31% of the national area.

- Boundiali, the capital of the region, is a Local Economic Connector (a small town that is at an embryonic stage of urbanization facilitating internal economies of scale, such as hosting a large company that processes local agricultural products) with an agricultural focus (maize, rice, sorghum, cotton, cashew, mango) where livestock farming is also practiced (Study on the Competitive Economic Pole Development Program - PEC, 2018);
- One (01) industrial zone exists: located in the Boundiali department with an industrial land reserve of 126 ha (MCIPPME, 2022);
- Mobile network coverage (July 2023): 83.43% of localities and 92.39% of the population are covered;
- Health: The health infrastructure in the region covers most of the technical platforms.

- Agro-industry: The agro-industry is characterized by cotton ginning (Ivoire Coton company with 02 ginning units with respective capacities of 25,000 tons and 50,000 tons per year) and mango drying (01 unit established in Boundiali since 2015);
- Tourism: The tourism offer in the region includes:
- the black monkey forest of Landiongou;
- the traditional forges of Kouto;
- the hippopotamus lake of the Gbémou dam;
- the sacred woods;
- Mining Resources: The region has reserves of gold and manganese.
As part of the implementation of the National Development Plan (PND) 2021-2025, the Bagoué Region is included in the area covered by the Agro-pole for the transformation and export of fruits and cashew nuts (Agro-pole 1).
Investment opportunities exist in the following sectors:
- Agriculture: Investments in hydro-agricultural development, irrigation infrastructure, support for production and storage, development of food crop sectors (Maize, Millet, Sorghum, Rice, Onions), cash crop sectors (Cotton, Cashew, Mango, etc.), and livestock sectors (Cattle, Sheep).
- Mining Resources: exploration and exploitation of mining resources (gold, manganese, and tantalum);
- Education-Training: establishment and operation of schools, colleges, high schools, and universities, technical and vocational schools.
