The Kabadougou Region is located in the Northwest of Côte d'Ivoire and is subdivided into five (05) Departments: Odienné (Capital), Madinani, Samatiguila, Séguélon, and Gbéléban. It covers an area of 14,000 km², which is 4.34% of the national territory.

- Odienné, the capital of the region, is a Secondary Economic Connector (a city that has reached an intermediate stage of urbanization facilitating localization economies through competition among businesses in the same sector), and is an area with strong commercial activities (Study on the Competitive Economic Pole Development Program - PEC, 2018). It also produces cashew nuts, cotton, and food crops (rice, corn, millet, fonio, yams, etc.);
- Financial sector: 02 commercial banks and 02 microfinance institutions are established there;
- Mobile network coverage (ARTCI, July 2023): 81.21% of localities and 85.95% of the population are covered;
- Health: The health infrastructure in the region includes essential technical platforms.

- Agro-industry: rice husking, mango processing, cashew processing;
- Commerce: trade in agricultural products (cola nuts, rock salt) and livestock (cattle).
As part of the implementation of the National Development Plan (PND) 2021-2025, the Kabadougou Region is included in the area covered by the Agro-pole "Pole for the Transformation of Food Crops" (Agro-pole 8).
Investment opportunities exist in the following sectors:
- Agriculture: development of food crop agriculture (rice, maize, and yam), vegetable and cash crop cultivation (tomato, onion, soybean, etc.), creation of agro-pastoral farms;
- Agro-industry: construction of industrial units for the processing of agricultural products (cotton, cashew, etc.);
- Trade: intra-regional and cross-border trade, project for the establishment of a dry port in Kabadougou;
- Intra-regional transport.
