Agreements and Conventions
The cooperation relations between Côte d'Ivoire and Morocco span across various fields.
I.1. Economic and Financial Cooperation
An addendum to the agreement for the establishment of a logistics platform for the marketing of fruits and vegetables in Abidjan was signed on April 23, 2018, in Meknès, Morocco.
A protocol agreement on investment promotion between the Moroccan Investment Development Agency (AMDI) and the Investment Promotion Center of Côte d'Ivoire (CEPICI) was signed on February 25, 2014.
An addendum to the cooperation agreement in the field of tourism was signed on February 25, 2014.
A cooperation protocol between the Autonomous Port of Abidjan and the National Ports Agency (Morocco) Port of Casablanca was signed on February 25, 2014.
An additional protocol to the agreement on the encouragement and reciprocal protection of investments was signed on February 25, 2014, and ratified on June 3, 2015.
A convention to avoid double taxation and prevent tax evasion regarding income taxes was signed on July 20, 2006, and came into effect in 2017.
I.2. Technical Cooperation
Four (04) protocols related to the project for the preservation and enhancement of the Cocody Bay, with a total cost of 137 billion CFA francs, were signed on June 3, 2015, in Abidjan.
An agreement in the field of aquaculture was signed on February 25, 2014.
A partnership agreement between the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM) and the General Confederation of Enterprises of Côte d'Ivoire (CGECI) for the creation of a Morocco-Côte d'Ivoire Economic Council was signed on February 25, 2014.
An agreement to abolish visa requirements for diplomatic and service passports was signed on September 22, 1973, in Rabat, and came into effect on October 22, 1973.
A Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation was signed on September 22, 1973, in Rabat, and came into effect on March 19, 1980.
Additionally, the Government of the Kingdom of Morocco offers 120 scholarships for Ivorian students for the 2019-2020 academic year. These scholarships, which are part of the bilateral cooperation between the two countries, are divided into 100 university scholarships and 20 professional training scholarships.
Since March 2013, a total of 143 agreements have been signed in the fields of banking and finance, social issues, agriculture, fishing, industry, tourism, transportation, ICT, construction, as well as university and professional training.
A. The main exported products are: green coffee, rubber, petroleum products, processed cocoa, processed wood, fresh pineapples, and bulk cotton.
B. The main imported products are: dairy products, fruits and vegetables, canned meats, fish, pharmaceutical products, plastics, automobiles, fertilizers, iron, cast iron, steel, metal products, ceramics, machines, electrical equipment, paper, and cardboard.

Over the period from 2019 to 2023, the average value of Ivorian exports is estimated at 19.7 billion CFA francs per year, compared to 177.1 billion CFA francs per year for imports.
Over the period from 2019 to 2023, the trade balance is deficit for Côte d'Ivoire.
