  • Signing of a Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation and the Agreement establishing the Ivorian-Senegalese Joint Commission in Abidjan on December 15, 1971.

  • Signing of sixteen (16) agreements in Dakar during the last session of the Joint Commission held on March 11 and 12, 2014, covering various areas of cooperation, including:

  • Furthermore, 12 new agreements were concluded on Thursday, August 1, 2024, in Abidjan between Côte d'Ivoire and Senegal following the 10th session of the Ivorian-Senegalese Joint Commission. These agreements cover various sectors, including the economy, justice, youth, agriculture, livestock, and communication.

A. Main Exports from Côte d'Ivoire to Senegal: Various food preparations; edible fruits; citrus peels or melon rinds; plastics and articles thereof; essential oils and resinoids; perfumery, cosmetic, or toilet preparations, etc.

B. Main Imports from Senegal to Côte d'Ivoire: Fish and crustaceans, mollusks, and other aquatic invertebrates; salt; sulfur; earths and stones; plasters, lime, and cement; manufactured tobacco and tobacco substitutes, with or without nicotine.

  • Over the period 2019-2023, the average value of Ivorian exports is estimated at 105.58 billion FCFA per year, compared to 107.4 billion FCFA per year for imports.

  • The trade balance was in deficit for Côte d'Ivoire from 2019 to 2021, but became surplus starting in 2022.
