Agreements and Conventions
Although members of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), bilateral relations between Côte d'Ivoire and The Gambia remained dormant for a long time.
A few cooperation agreements have been signed between the two countries, including:
Agreement establishing the Ivorian-Gambian Joint Commission, signed on September 27, 2012, in New York;
Regional Convention on Fisheries Cooperation between Atlantic Ocean bordering African states, signed in July 1991 in Dakar (Senegal).
To date, no sessions of the Ivorian-Gambian Joint Commission have been held.
A. The main exported products are: processed coffee, essential oils and plant extracts, palm oil, and confectionery.
B. The main imported products are: clothing and other textile fibers.

The value of bilateral trade reached 4.7 billion FCFA in 2023, compared to 2.1 billion FCFA in 2022.
Over the period from 2019 to 2023, the average value of Ivorian exports was estimated at 2.54 billion FCFA per year, compared to 0.75 billion FCFA per year for imports.
During this period, the trade balance was in surplus for Côte d'Ivoire.
