Agreements and Conventions

Cooperation between Côte d'Ivoire and South Korea remains dynamic.

 

I.1 In the Economic and Financial Area

  • Framework Agreement on the use of loans granted by the Korean Economic Development Cooperation Fund (EDCF), signed in January 1999;

  • Economic, Commercial, and Technical Cooperation Agreement, signed on August 8, 1986;

  • Two (02) economic agreements are currently under negotiation. These are:

    • Agreement on the avoidance of double taxation and prevention of tax evasion regarding income tax;

    • Agreement on the promotion and reciprocal protection of investments.

 

I.2 In the Technical Area

  • Mission of a South Korean parliamentary delegation to Côte d'Ivoire from January 27 to 29, 2019, to expand the scope of cooperation relations with Korea;

  • Loan Agreement for the financing of the Ivorian-Korean ICT Sports and Cultural Center, also known as the Taekwondo Palace, signed on October 25, 2016, with an amount of 7 billion CFA francs, granted by the Korean government;

  • Loan Agreement for the financing of the National Center for Oncology and Radiotherapy, signed on October 25, 2016, with an amount of 63 billion CFA francs, granted by the Korean government;

  • Cultural Cooperation Agreement signed on February 26, 1980;

  • Medical Technology Cooperation Agreement signed in December 1968.

The ongoing agreement negotiations include:

  • Agreement on the waiver of visas for holders of diplomatic and service passports;

  • Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire and the Republic of Korea;

  • Framework Agreement on cooperation for KOICA (Korea International Cooperation Agency) assistance to Côte d'Ivoire;

  • Framework Agreement of cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire and the Government of the Republic of Korea.

A. Les principaux produits exportés sont : Aluminium et ouvrages en aluminium, Cuivre et ouvrages en cuivre, Minerais, Graisses et huiles animales, végétales ou microbiennes et produits de leur dissociation ; graisses comestibles préparées.

 

 B. Les Principaux produits importés sont : Poissons et crustacés, mollusques et autres invertébrés aquatiques, Combustibles minéraux, huiles minérales et produits de leur distillation ; substances bitumineuses.
