ASSESSMENT OF BILATERAL COOPERATION

Agreements and Conventions

 

Several cooperation agreements have been signed between the two (02) countries. These include :

  • Cooperation Agreement between the Autonomous Port of San Pedro and Porto de Mindelo-Sao Vicente, signed in Abidjan on March 31, 2014;
  • Agreement on the establishment of a bilateral consultation mechanism, signed in Abidjan on March 30, 2014;
  • Air Transport Agreement signed in Abidjan on March 30, 2014;
  • Maritime Cooperation Agreement signed in Abidjan on March 30, 2014;
  • Agreement on the Reciprocal Promotion and Protection of Investments, signed in Abidjan on March 30, 2014;
  • Memorandum of Understanding, signed in Praia on March 11, 2014;
  • Cooperation Agreement in the field of tourism, signed in Praia on March 11, 2014.

TRADE

A. The main products exported are: wood, charcoal and articles thereof, mineral fuels, mineral oils and products thereof, bituminous materials.

B. The main imported products are: residues and waste from the food industries, prepared animal feed.

  • Over the period 201-202, the average value of Ivorian exports is estimated at 0.16 billion of CFAF/year. It can be seen that over the same period there were no imports.
  • Over the period 2018-2022, the trade balance is in surplus for Cote d’Ivoire.
