The Diplomatic Mission of Cote d’Ivoire in Austria covers all the following countries: Slovakia, Hungary, Serbia, Bosnia, Slovenia, Croatia and Romania.

Since 2014, an annual economic mission of the Austrian Chamber of Commerce has been visiting Cote d’Ivoire. To this end, during the fourth (4th) Trade Mission, seven (07) renowned Austrian companies took part. This shows the keen interest of Austrians in the Ivorian market.

Moreover, Austrian financial cooperation has been practically limited to debt cancellation. Indeed, upon reaching the HIPC Completion Point in 2012, Austria cancelled the entire Ivorian debt amounting to 48 billion of CFAF (€74 million).

A. The main products exported are: paper, cardboard, rubber, green coffee, cocoa beans, fresh pineapple, bananas and cotton in bulk.

B.The main imported products are: meat and edible offal, plastics, automobiles, rubber, chemicals, iron, cast iron and metal products, mechanical and electrical machinery.

• The value of bilateral trade reached 587,700 million of CFAF in 2022 compared to 546,300 million of CFAF in 2021;
• Over the period 2018-2022, the average value of Ivorian exports is estimated at 349,000 million of CFAF /year against 198,900 million of CFAF /year for imports;
• Over the period 2018-2022, the trade balance is in deficit for Cote d’Ivoire.
